Upcoming events

Thursday, October 14, 2021 (All day) to Friday, October 15, 2021 (All day)
Business Start Up 101
Cost: $25.00
A Community Futures event

Join us for this 2-day workshop aimed at assisting entrepreneurs to define their business model and business plan!

On Day 1, we do the Business Model Canvas course which teaches participants how to create, iterate and test new business models, all on one canvas. The course starts with breaking down the business models of well-known companies (Google, Nespresso, Apple, etc.) into 9 building blocks and ends with participants creating their own canvas and then testing it against 7 key questions. The course is the ideal preparation to do before one writes a business plan.

On Day 2, in the morning we revise the CF Nadina loan requirements and run through a tutorial on how to create a customer survey and data report to enable participants to add powerful market research and statistics to their business plan. For the remainder of the day, we do an hour-long each Q&A session with an insurance broker, lawyer, and accountant, focussing on the start up phase of the participants business.
