Small Business Services
Community Futures supports entrepreneurial capacity at the grass roots level. Right here in your community, we help provide access to a network of resources, partnerships, programs, loans and business counselling services to help sustain the growth and competitiveness of small and medium enterprises.
We provide free technical assistance to small business clients This includes:
- One on one Business Counselling for new and existing businesses
- Information on steps involved in starting a business
- Working with entrepreneurs in researching and writing in-depth business plans.
- Sharpening management skills
- Developing marketing plans, including e-business strategies
- Planning for growth
TRAINING
Workshops and seminars are regularly scheduled on topics ranging from Business planning and start-up through Human Resources issues, to Succession Planning.
SMALL BUSINESS LOANS
Community Futures provide entrepreneurs with small business loans up to $150,000 when traditional financial institutions are unable to help. Loans are available for new business start-ups, business expansion, or to stabilize an existing business. A loans committee comprised of community volunteers is involved with the loan review process. This ensures community input on loan approvals.
Certified A.P.E.C. Business Counsellors are available by appointment.
