EI Eligible Client Assistance
For clients who are unemployed and currently on EI (Employment Insurance), and/or
Who have had an EI claim in the past 3 years, or
Who have had parental claim in the past 5 years:
Career Decision Making
- Myers Briggs Type Indicator (Personality Type)
- Choices Program
Cost-Shared Training
- Client must meet with an employment advisor.
- Client must provide details of a complete and thorough job search.
- Client must demonstrate strong employment opportunities and labour market research must support training
Targeted Wage Subsidy
This program is designed to assist individuals who are having difficulty finding work because of lack of experience, by offering employers an incentive to hire them.
Disability Employment Programs
Opportunities Fund
This program is designed to assist individuals with a self-declared disability to access formal or on the job training.
Non-EI Eligible Client Assistance:
APT Program
This program is for Forest workers who are working more than 20 hours a week, are medium skilled and/or feeling job threatened, or, are not EI eligible (owner-operators or contract loggers, or those who have definite lay-off dates. Twenty percent of participants in the region may be women re-entering the workforce or youth.
Youth First
This program is for non-EI eligible youth, between the age of 15 to 29, who are having difficulty in finding work because of a lack of experience, by offering employers an incentive to hire them.
Employer Services
We support employers with the following services:
- Advertisement of your employment vacancies on our job posting board
- Targeted wage subsidies
